And some spuds (maris piper), tomatoes, sweetcorn and squash. So as Kavey says, they really didn't heart up for us either last year.

As for cabbage whites - we don't bother too much about it. I'll manually check the leaves and rub off what eggs / caterpillars I find, but obviously I don't get them all. <br /Pete Favellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06118087223604691014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6906094186818408331.post-65746856314084788822010-04-09T17:00:44.919+01:002010-04-09T17:00:44.919+01:00Tim, these are winter cabbages, we have had lots o...Tim, these are winter cabbages, we have had lots of success in past with Savoys, I can't remember what these are, will check but, this year, they just didn't get enough sun during late summer and autumn so didn't heart up when expected.

That said, they did start hearting up in Feb/Mar finally and I should have picked them all then.

Being lazy, we only picked themKaveyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16662875905365870280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6906094186818408331.post-83303425068561087262010-04-09T16:50:24.045+01:002010-04-09T16:50:24.045+01:00V jealous.
